Melanie Richmond was born December 9, 1996...she died in her sleep on July 31, 2013.  She was looking forward to her Junior year at Reitz High School, and to swimming on the Panther Swim Team.

Melanie was active in Special Olympics of Vanderburgh County and participated in softball, basketball, cornhole, bowling and swimming.    

Melanie taught us so much about life, love and happiness.  Her quick wit and constant smile brought much joy.  She blessed many people with the best hugs in the world.

In her memory, we have established the Melanie Marie Richmond Memorial Fund to support the organizations and charities that were important in Melanie's life.  Contributions can be sent to:
